You don’t need to go big to make a big impression.  Many of the mechanics used in our larger puppet projects can be translated into smaller sizes!  We’ll make 4 different styles of mini-puppet, each with a different operating mechanic.  Fees for this class include the cost of materials for all projects.

Participants will:

·      Learn the mechanics of multiple mini-puppet engineering techniques, including associated science and math curriculum topics for various age ranges.

·      Walk through the project preparation process and lesson plan outlines for each included puppet project.

·      Learn and trade best practices for working with foam, fabrics, glues, and cutting tools for various age ranges.

·      Explore ways to integrate puppet-making with upcycling, adaptation, identity and design curricula.
