In general, as artists, we don’t love writing curriculum.  It can be an intimidating task, and it feels like there are more ways to get it wrong than get it right.  We’ll cover the how, when and why of curriculum-writing, and heap you with tools for making the process colorful, artist-friendly, and stress-free.

Participants will:

·      Look at different style and techniques of curriculum development to discover which best fits their own teaching and learning style.

·      Examine both arts and academic standards and identify how they are already meeting certain standards in their current curriculum.

·      Learn to develop a curriculum arc through goal setting and time management techniques

·      Find ways to make curriculum writing a more comfortable and intuitive process for their own future work.
