The arts create unique opportunities for students to examine and make choices about their own behaviors. We’ll “play along” through common arts activities designed to help students identify, control, transform, and share their personal energy in healthy and productive ways.
Participants will:
· Participate in activities which help students (and educators) conceptualize their behavior as motivated by their personal energy.
· Learn games for teaching students to control, transform, and share their personal energy with the group in positive and healthy ways.
· Internalize “corrective” language designed to help students objectively examine their own behavior.
· Build their library of activities for helping students recognize and name their own emotions.
